Last updated: July 5, 2026

1. General

shul.info is committed to making its service accessible to people with disabilities, in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments for Internet Services), 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard 5568 part 1. The site serves synagogue communities with public schedule boards and strives to let every visitor use them comfortably.

2. Conformance level

The site is built to conform to Israeli Standard 5568 part 1, which is based on the international WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA. We work continuously toward full conformance across all pages.

3. Accessibility adaptations on the site

  • Semantic, structured HTML (headings, navigation, landmarks)
  • ARIA labels on interactive elements
  • Full keyboard navigation
  • Full right-to-left (RTL) support
  • Alternative text for images
  • Color-contrast ratios meeting level AA
  • Browser text scaling without breaking the layout
  • A built-in accessibility widget: contrast modes, monochrome, readable font, link and heading highlighting, text spacing, reading view, large cursor, and font-size adjustment

4. Known limitations

A formal accessibility audit by a certified external body has not yet been performed. Schedule and announcement content is entered by each synagogue and is that synagogue's responsibility; if you encounter inaccessible content on a specific board, please contact that community or us.

5. Accessibility contact
